We may be short on some references temporarily or a reference may be retired,
within a few days we will send you an e-mail to inform you about the status of your
specific order. ATTENTION, NOTICE THAT WE
PROCESS YOUR CREDIT CARD ONLY WHEN YOUR ORDER IS READY TO BE SHIPPED TO YOU,
so don't worry, if we don't have it, you will not be charged in advance. We
ship USPS priority mail with confirmation delivery and insurance for the

We prepare your shipment very carefully, each Limoges box is verified
prior shipping, bubble wrap in gift box and carefully double boxed with
chips or bubble, outside it's taped fragile handle with care. All shipments
are fully insured for the amount of your purchase, so, in case it arrives
broken, you must fill a claim within 48 hours at your local post office with
standard report claim, bringing the broken limoges boxes with copy of your
order in its original package to show the damage to the post office manager.
The claim is filled by you and you request onthe claim form that refund is
made tous, the sender. Your local post office should keep the broken piece
ad the package and give you a copy of the claim Stamped with the date.
We will refund you and as soon as we receive the claim or we will send you a
new limoges box, same reference as your order as a replacement. Attention,
do not send back to us anything without the claim form and insurance,
otherwise you will be held responsible for the breakage and NO REFUND WILL BE

you change your mind for any reason, return the Limoges box as well wrapped
as you received it, insure it for the full amount and send it with
confirmation delivery, you will be refunded within 10 to 15 days by mail
less the amount of shipping we pay for. if you order 1 piece and pay $10.00
for shipping, $10.00 will be deducted from your total refund, if you order 2
limoges boxes or more and you got the FREE shipping, $5.00 per Limoges box

at the Antiques and Collectibles show of West Palm Beach, located at the
West Palm Beach Fairground. We have 2 booths and 20 display showcases filed

region of France. Limoges is not a company it's a "County label" like
"Champagne" is a local wine made in the North East of France in the

can use the name "Limoges-France"
There are a few medium sized (50 people) ateliers d'art, but many very small

First, the real Limoges box from the fake.
All genuine Limoges boxes made in
France are signed Limoges-France" thats the minimum, if it's not signed, if
it's just signed "limoges" or "Limoges-China" it's a fake!
Second, the Limoges box have different quality so to recognize "the Best"
the "Very good" from the
"good "to a "not too good", you have to mix your own judgment and the
following facts to enter in any of the classifications above, at the minimum, your box has to be
signed as below:
Name or logo or initial of the artist or company: (ex: Sinclair, PV, GR
Haviland etc...)
The box indicated where it has been made: Limoges- France
The box indicated how it has been made: Peint main, rehaussee main (which
means hand painted by hand)
After as a collector, you want the best that will take value in time, the
very best companies indicate the year and the production # Edition limited
1999 or 2000, from 1 / 750, limited edition made in 1999 or 2000 1 of a
series of 750 of the same.
When you have all of these ingredients, you have to get your own judgment on
the piece, the quality of the painting, the details, the goodies the
interest of the subject in term of numbers of Collectors and of course, the
very important fact, if you like the piece, what it means for you..... don't
forget that you choose a Limoges box for your pleasure or for a dear friend

There are a lot of boxes on E bay and other auction sites, but few are sold by serious antique dealers or
collectors, SO BE VERY CAREFUL,
most of the "Limoges" boxes sold on these auction sites are faked. ("limoges style"
Limoges" Limoges china" etc...) Only http://www.limoges-auction.com
request sellers to guaranty that all Limoges items are signed at leas
"limoges -France" and we invite buyers to report any suspect sales of Fakes
limoges boxes so we can delete the auction as well as the seller account.
to Come bac to E-bay, once, we spent several hours to look at EBay Limoges
boxes on Auction. we found 832 named "limoges boxes" - 53 were genuine
Limoges boxes from France, 779 Boxes were knock offs!!! So, if you buy on
EBay, you may find a good deal, but pay for it with your credit card and
reserve a 7 days money back, if they don't take credit cards, if it's $5.00
to $20.00, if you can't change your mind when you got the piece, don't buy
it! EBay staff doesn't have the possibility to control what's real or not,
in fact they don't care about it, they just want to make money, so many
categories, not only Limoges boxes are becoming " Junkyard auction" where a
hand full of goods are mixed with a lot of junk or copies from China! back to top |

To be completely honest, sometimes you may find some nice boxes at
really fair prices at discount stores, but pay attention, absolutely none of
their boxes are Limited Edition and dated. Mostly because they order by the
thousands and keep ordering, and ordering so you have a nice box selection,
which can be found everywhere. Often, they buy the second quality box,
which means they came from a series and have little imperfections so they
are declassified in Limoges as second category or second choice Limoges
boxes. If you have the chance to compare 2 of the same boxes, you will see
that the colors are passing away, the details are not so good, you have
little imperfections, they are not signed either by the company or the
artists - bottom line - you are getting what you pay for! Concerning
wholesale and discount stores , they sell "Junk" very badly painted, many
are decales, so they are made by machines, and all their production are made
in third category companies which are not even specialized in Limoges boxes. back to top |
